The 10-bedroom Kinaree Estate is the perfect Bali family villa, great for kids and large family groups. The design of the estate means that a huge family can be divided into two groups:
the younger louder generation in one villa, while the quieter crew stays next door. 6- bedroom Villa Kinara and 4-bedroom Villa Kinaree are positioned side-by-side with a small courtyard separating the villas each with private entrances. Doors can be kept open so the band has the run of the place, or closed for extra privacy.
There is a general shortage of large Bali family villas post Covid, as many wealthy Indonesians have bought them, converting most to private family estates, now no longer on the rental market. The Kinaree Estate with its two swimming pools, games rooms, gym,entertainment spaces, pool tables, staff including car, driver, and professional chef, plus being a slow 5-minute walk to Seminyak beach, makes it the best Seminyak family villa.
Being seaside in Seminyak, families have so much to do: shopping, spas, beach, surf, sunsets, and beach clubs all of which welcome children. In reality, the kids govern, most just want to play in the pool or run on the beach. Our villa manager is a treasure trove of tours and activities to keep the kids entertained if the villa facilities are not enough.
The beach near Kinaree Estate is probably Bali’s best for beginner surfing, appropriate for all ages. There are no rips, lifeguards on duty, plenty of professional surfers paying attention, no rocks, just a gentle sandy bottom with waves to suit everyone. If standard surfing doesn’t appeal, try a boogie board, stand-up paddle, foil, wing surf, or kite surf. Check out Rip Curl Surf Academy or Santai Surf, both an easy walk along the beach from the villa. Once these Seminyak waves are mastered, surf schools go further afield, offering more advanced adventures, their instructors always friendly and professional, likely brothers for life. Of course, if surf just doesn’t appeal, kick back on a sun lounger and watch the world pass by.
Unlike hotel accommodation, staying in a large Bali villa means much more space allowing families to spread out, yet all stay under one roof. No need to rise early to secure a sun lounger or queue for hotel restaurants. Stocking the fridge on arrival with plenty of snacks from the nearby supermarket, means food and drinks are served at cost, with no extra massive bills. Our private chef is able to prepare a wide selection of feasts, meals are usually served family style, meaning several dishes to feed everyone. Alternatively, order deliveries from any of the nearby restaurants, food arrives piping hot, served at table by our wonderful staff.
With ample space for all, both young and old can bask in the tranquility and seclusion of the villa. Whether its curling up with a book or attending to work, numerous cozy spots ensure privacy without missing out of the fun.
A Bali children’s villa holiday can be economical too: imagine booking multiple rooms in a high-end hotel. Each time the room fridge is opened, it puts a dent in the wallet. Food by the pool, ice creams, drinks; the costs escalates quickly. Not so in a villa, everything is purchased from the markets. Our team has relationships with most luxury vendors, so, if there are special items needed, arrangements can be made without breaking the bank.
All the staff working at our villas: villa manager, chef, butlers, housekeepers, gardeners, pool attendants, security, plus driver are included in the rate. The staff will keep the villa immaculate at all times, leaving guests to do as they please. It is oddly satisfying to retire at night leaving the villa untidy, then waking in the morning to a fresh pristine house, with no evidence of the previous night’s shenanigans. The Balinese adore kids, just more reason to
stay here. Venture out with the staff to better understand the Balinese culture, visit temples, go food market shopping, even learn to make religious offerings, baskets, temple gifts, or learn to cook with our chef. It’s the Balinese people who make this island so attractive and culturally rich, most with a ready smile, fantastic humor, a laugh a minute.
